Do I need to create an account?

No. EVRadar works entirely without sign-up or login. Your charging history, favorites, and settings sync through your own iCloud account.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. EVRadar backs up your favorites, charging history, and car settings to iCloud Drive once a week — the last five, plus one a month for half a year. You can also save a backup file anywhere you like with Back Up Now. Restoring only adds what's missing; nothing already on your iPhone is changed or removed. Backups are free for everyone.

What does EVRadar Pro cost?

Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($2.99), a yearly subscription ($14.99, with a free 1-week trial), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($24.99). All three unlock the same features — pick whichever fits you best. These are US prices — the App Store shows the price for your country in your currency.

Which countries are supported?

EVRadar works anywhere Apple Maps has charging station data, which covers most of Europe, North America, and many other regions worldwide.

Where does the charging station data come from?

All station details — location, connector types, opening hours, photos, ratings — come directly from Apple's Maps service, and the ad-hoc prices for stations in Germany from MobiData BW's open charging point database. We don't run our own servers or maintain a separate database.

Does EVRadar show what charging costs?

Yes, for now only at stations in Germany: the station's page shows the ad-hoc price — what you pay without a contract, by card or app — with its time, blocking, and session fees, from the data operators have to publish under the EU's AFIR regulation. That's free for everyone. With EVRadar Pro, you also see what charging your car from 20 to 80% costs there.

Does EVRadar work offline?

No, an internet connection is needed to search for stations and load map data.

Which devices does EVRadar run on?

EVRadar runs on iPhone — and makes full use of the iPhone Duo's screen, unfolded and folded.

Does EVRadar work with CarPlay?

Yes. EVRadar works with CarPlay, free for everyone: the nearest charging stations on a list and a map, your nearest favorites as large buttons, and a charge in progress with its time left right on your car's display.

Is EVRadar accessible?

Yes. EVRadar supports VoiceOver, Voice Control, and Dynamic Type, and every availability color on the map comes with its own symbol, so you don't have to tell the colors apart.

Which languages does EVRadar speak?

EVRadar speaks 15 languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Japanese, and Korean.
